Meet the Team

Robert (Bob) Brown is Chief Executive Officer and a founding partner of Vx Capital. For over 30 years, Bob has been involved in the aircraft leasing industry, with a primary focus on finance and acquisitions. He is currently responsible for establishing Vx’s strategic direction and helping the Company access new markets. Prior to founding Vx in 2002, Bob worked at Pegasus Aviation, mostly as Executive Vice President. During his tenure at Pegasus, Bob was responsible for aircraft financings, including credit lines, term loans and asset-backed securitizations.
 
Bob is a founding trustee of Airlink, a nonprofit organization that helps airlines connect with nongovernmental organizations to provide humanitarian relief. Bob holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the University of Washington. He is married with three adult children and resides in San Francisco, California.

William (Will) Hudson is a founding partner of Vx Capital and an avid pilot. Will handles transaction origination, asset management and engine portfolio activities. During his career, Will has bought, sold or leased numerous aircraft, and managed several large passenger-to-freight conversion programs. Before founding Vx, Will was vice president of Pegasus Aviation, where he was responsible for aircraft remarketing.

Will is a former board member of the International Society of Transport Aircraft and Traders (ISTAT) and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). Will holds a B.A. from Duke University and an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Will has two children and resides in Marin County, California.

Sean Sullivan joined Vx Capital in 2020 as Chief Financial Officer and oversees Vx’s acquisition, investing and financing efforts. Previously he held the role of Executive Vice President and Head of the Americas at AerCap, with operational and strategic oversight of Aercap’s business across North, Central and South America. Prior to AerCap, Sean was a Director of Allco Aviation and a Vice President at Banc of America Leasing & Capital. During his 20 years in the aviation leasing industry, Sean has been instrumental in developing innovative financing structures, sourcing new opportunities and building business platforms.

Sean graduated with a B.A from the University of California at San Diego and has an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California. He is married with one daughter and resides in Marin County, California.

Brian Dillion joined Vx in 2011 as senior vice president, technical services and is responsible for all technical aspects of our leasing business. Brian brings more than 25 years commercial airline experience. Prior to joining Vx, Brian was a founding member of the management team at Southern Air where he served for 12 years. At Southern, Brian held various management positions including director of maintenance, and, most recently, vice president of engineering and aircraft acquisitions. Previously, he held several technical positions for Emery Worldwide. Brian was formerly the chairman of the maintenance council of the National Air Carrier Association.

He is a licensed Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Franklin University. Brian is married with two children and resides in Walnut Creek, California.

Stefan Kageman joined Vx in 2012 and brings over 15 years of aircraft sales and leasing experience. Stefan is primarily responsible for the remarketing and management of our existing portfolio of equipment and is also involved with aircraft purchase and sale transactions. Stefan’s experience in the aviation industry includes originating aircraft acquisitions for GA Telesis and remarketing its portfolio of owned and managed aircraft and engines. Previously Stefan served as vice president at Jetscape, where he remarketed and managed the firm’s owned and managed fleet of leased aircraft.

Stefan is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he earned a B.S. in Aeronautical Science. He also holds a US FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument ratings. Stefan is an avid mountain biker, photographer and live music fan. Stefan along with his wife and son reside in Marin County, California.

Viren Kumar joined Vx in 2013 as an associate and brings eight years of experience in the financial services industry. He is responsible for acquisitions, financial analysis, transaction processing and credit analysis.

Prior to joining Vx, Viren was an associate at Sansome Partners, where he sourced and executed public and private market investments, including investments in the aviation industry. Previously, he was an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs. Viren earned an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Viren holds a private pilot certificate with an instrument rating. He was President of the Wharton Wings Club and formerly served on the leadership team of Angel Flight Northern California. Viren, his wife and two children reside in San Francisco, California.

Bashir Agah joined Vx in 2013 as corporate counsel. He oversees and holds responsibility for all Vx Capital’s legal affairs, including all facets of transaction documentation and contract administration. Bashir’s prior experience includes aviation finance and corporate compliance as in-house counsel at ORIX Aviation, aircraft leasing and purchasing as in-house counsel at Mesa Air, and advising on a broad range of international legal and business matters as counsel at Norton Rose Fulbright.

Bashir holds a B.A. in Chemistry from George Mason University and a J.D. from University of New Hampshire School of Law. He resides in Berkeley, California with his family.

Martin Kooi joined Vx in 2004 as controller and operations manager and now serves as treasurer, responsible for accounting and tax, lease administration, compliance and external reporting. Prior to joining Vx, Martin was the Controller of Zuit Sports. Previously, Martin worked at Sealed Media, Barter Trust and InterMedia Partners. Martin trained as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte and Touche and began his career in treasury and compliance at Volkswagen Investments.

Martin graduated from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. In his spare time, he enjoys growing and exhibiting roses. A native of Ireland and Malaysia, Martin currently resides in Santa Rosa, California.

Eric Shanley joined Vx in 2016. He works across several disciplines including finance, credit, and deal origination. His responsibilities include assisting with transaction capital sourcing and financial modeling.

Prior to joining Vx, Eric served as a military officer and rotary wing pilot. Eric earned a B.A. from Middlebury College and an M.B.A. from the University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business. Eric resides in Boston, Massachusetts and enjoys skiing and hiking in his spare time.

Chance Fowler joined Vx in 2015. He assists with Vx’s leasing, acquisition, and financing activities, including transaction modeling and portfolio management. Previously, Chance worked in the capital markets division of Trinity Industries, a freight railcar manufacturing and leasing company.

Chance holds a B.A. with Honors in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University as well as a Graduate Diploma from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. In his spare time, he enjoys backpacking, swimming, and cooking. A native of the Bay Area, Chance currently resides in San Francisco.

Rushi Shah joined Vx in 2020 as an Associate. He works across several disciplines including finance and deal origination. His responsibilities include assisting with investment analysis and modeling, portfolio management and lead analytical support for origination, finance, and marketing transactions.

Prior to joining Vx, Rushi was an Aviation Associate at Fortress Investment Group, where he worked on FP&A, asset management and assisting the deal team in all aspects of engine acquisitions including modeling lease contracts and pricing metal value. Previously, he was an Assurance Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Annie Tsang joined Vx in 2008 as Accounting Manager. She is responsible for general ledger accounting, financial reporting and treasury and supports the Treasurer. Previously, Annie was a Senior Accountant at Pegasus Aviation Finance Company. She was also previously employed at Mount St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth Epiphany Center and ATEL Capital Group.

Annie holds a B.S. from San Francisco State University. Annie enjoys painting, arts and crafts and old movies. She resides in San Francisco, California.

Noel David joined Vx in 2011 as Senior Accountant. He is responsible for accounts payable, receivables and general ledger accounting, as well as assisting the Accounting Manager and Controller. Previously, Noel was the Accounting Specialist at Reliance Global Service Inc., a global provider of Ethernet solutions. Earlier, he was the Staff Accountant at Brightmail Inc. and Walker Interactive Services. Noel brings 13 years’ experience in accounting and finance at start-up software and technology companies.

Noel has a degree in Civil Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila, Philippines. He also served in the U.S. Navy for six years in active duty as a Hospital Corpsman. Noel is married and resides in Fremont, California.

Amie Burkholder joined Vx in 2019 as Executive and Legal Assistant. Prior to joining Vx, Amie was a staff paralegal at Alcantar & Kahl LLP with 25 years of experience in the Utility Regulatory and Insurance Defense practices.

Amie studied at University of California, Berkeley and graduated with a Paralegal Studies certificate. She currently resides in Napa Valley where she volunteers with various local children’s groups and enjoys travel in her spare time.

Heidi Gorrebeeck joined Vx in 2019 as an Executive Assistant & Office Manager.
