Vx Capital Partners purchased 14 737 Classic freighters from three US-based lessors in December 2018. All of the aircraft are on lease, including six with DHL that operate in the US and Panama, four with ASL Aviation Group in Belgium, two with West Atlantic in Sweden and two with Atran in Russia. The aircraft were purchased directly by Vx Freighter Investment Fund and financed via its asset backed securitization.
Bob Brown, one of the founding partners of Vx, commented that “We are pleased to have acquired these 737 Classic freighters and we appreciate the opportunity to expand our relationships with existing customers ASL, West Atlantic, and Atran. Vx is also pleased to begin a leasing relationship with DHL, one of the world’s largest freight integrators. The acquisition of these high-quality freighters leased to industry-leading airlines adds diversity and scale to our fund. Vx’s longstanding ties within the lessor community have helped us reliably source aircraft for our fund since its launch in 2016.”
