Vx Capital is pleased to announce that it has achieved a final closing of its first private equity fund, comprising capital commitments of approximately $107,000,000. Vx Freighter Investment Fund (also known as VXF) and its offshore affiliate are dedicated to the acquisition of mid-life narrow-body jets and with subsequent conversion from passenger to cargo configuration. While owned by VXF, the equipment will be placed on lease to cargo airlines globally. The fund currently owns ten freighters on lease and another ten aircraft undergoing or awaiting cargo conversion. Vx’s placement agent for the transaction was BNP Paribas and its legal counsel was Kirkland & Ellis.
