Vx recently sold two A320-200s on lease with Alaska Airlines. The first was sold in September 2018 to a US-based private equity firm and the second was sold in December 2018 to a Japanese investment group. Vx originally purchased these aircraft newly-built in 2008 via sale-leaseback with Virgin America. Vx was a lessor to Virgin America from its inception as a startup airline through its growth into a main line carrier, and ultimately its merger with Alaska Airlines in 2018.
